I just want to learn the basics to start. I can learn fancy techniques later.
There are a lot of tutorials on tumblr on how to make gifs (that’s how I first learned). I usually have two ways of doing it depending on the kind of graphic I’m making. But I would recommend this one to understand the basics. I still use it to make the larger gifs.
The other way would be to play the video directly on Photoshop and use Timeline to extract the part that you want to use. This one covers how to do it.
I hope this helped somewhat (at least to help you get started). If you’re still unclear, feel free to ask me anything. I’m just letting you know about these ones first because they do a better job of explaining :P

I never made any tutorials because I’m terrible at explaining things/don’t know what I’m doing and I usually make a lot of changes and add/remove so many things so the process is really erratic. But I’ll be happy to try and help you, just ask me anything!
